This song is about being verbally abused via words and cyber bullying. I think everyone can relate to being bullied. Most bullies that we knew growing up were victims of bullies themselves. Bullying is an epidemic, even today. The problem is that we are doing so little to stop it, hence, the title. If you're a victim of bully, remember that they need someone to talk and their acts of violence is a reflection of how they feel about themselves as a person or they're lives at home. Think about it. Every single person can make a difference in this problem.
lyrics
1, 2, 3, 4
Sticks and stones may break your bones
But they never hurt like the broken homes
Cause your words wound deep
And while he's counting sheep
Your words on his dreams
Sic feet under he screams
But now i'm here to say
That today's not your day
But now i'm hear to say
That today's not your day
The underdog is here to stay
The words you're here to say
Are of no world to me
Don't waste your breath
Cause i'm not listening
These scars don't show, We all know
That doesn't the pain doesn't go away, just cause the scars fade
We all, grew up the same
Always questioning, everything
But now i'm hear to say
That today's not your day
The underdog is here to stay
Despite your cruelty
You see we still remain
It takes much more than that to snuff out our flames
The underdogs are here to stay
These scars don't show, We all know
That doesn't the pain doesn't go away, just cause the scars fade
We all, grew up the same
Always questioning, everything
(This is our time)
(This is our time)
But now i'm here to say
That today's not your day
So now i'm here to say
That today's not your day
Sticks and stones may break your bones
But words can harm forever
Sticks and stones may break your bones
But words can harm forever
